Barley

Barley is an ancient grain that was the staple for many people for centuries, but has become less available in our modern times. This is unfortunate because it is more nutritious than either wheat or oats. It is also one of the few grains that can be milled into flour or rolled into flakes. Our barley is also sproutable. It can be soaked overnight to be eaten as a soft partially sprouted grain or it can be planted if you want to grow more of your own. It provides high yields and grows in almost any quality soil. This is a truly versatile and valuable grain to have. The perfect preparedness grain.

Available in two sizes:

• 5 Cup bags (approx 2.25 lbs): Nitrogen packed in convenient re-closable (ie zip-loc) 3-mil bags. Great for the kitchen.
• 2 gallon bags (approx 13.5 lbs): Nitrogen packed in heat-sealed heavy-duty 6-mil bags. For larger quantities or long-term storage.
